Hey guys!
So last night I was procrastinating my studying for final exams (which are on Monday and Tuesday) and I decided to try frankening for the first time. I found an old Wet 'n' Wild clear polish that was about half full, picked out some supplies, and just went for it.
I honestly wasn't expecting to come up with anything good since it was my first time, but something really awesome happened and I'm IN LOVE with my franken!

Keep reading for more photos, swatches, and the recipe!

My franken alone (2 coats), My franken over China Glaze Blue Iguana, My franken over OPI Black Onyx)
And here's a rundown of the supplies I used to make my fraken polish:

(Wet 'n' Wild FastDry - Teal of Fortune)

(Wet 'n' Wild FastDry - Teal of Fortune)

(Loose micro-glitters in powder blue and iridescent white)

(Loose hexagonal glitter in teal and silver)

(Loose hexagonal glitter in teal and silver)

(This is an ordinary straw that I cut to create a sort of scoop shape and I used this to transfer the glitters from their containers to the bottle of my franken.)
Recipe:
- Start with your clear polish about half full
- Pour roughly 1/4 of the bottle of Wet 'n' Wild Teal of Fortune into the clear polish
- Shake to mix
- Using your scooping straw, add 3 scoops of your powder blue micro-glitter
- Shake to mix
- Using your scooping straw, add 2 scoops of your white iridescent micro-glitter
- Shake to mix
- Using your scooping straw, add 3 scoops of your teal hexagonal glitter
- Shake to mix
- Using your scooping straw, add 2 scoops of your silver hexagonal glitter
- Shake to mix
And that's it! Unfortunately, my clear polish didn't have the little metal mixing balls so I suggest using an empty bottle that already has the balls or adding them yourself afterwards.
And before you ask, I got my loose micro-glitters at Wal-Mart and they came in a pack of 8 different colours (and I wish I could remember the price but I've had these for a while now so it escapes me how much I paid for them, but it couldn't have been very much). I got my hexagonal glitters on eBay a really long time ago but I'm sure you can still find them.
So there you have it - my first franken polish! I can definitely see myself having some more frankening fun in the future.
Now, I'll need help naming my franken. Suggestions?
