Adore Me. So implores the title of Ellen von Unwerth's latest shoot for Tush magazine, and model Rose Cordero makes it hard not to oblige. A sure sign that the '20s fashion revival we predicted is on the march, Cordero is decked out in finger waves and fringed dresses, the kind of outfits we expect might hit the big screen when The Great Gatsby remake is released.
Unlike the stark juxtaposition of modern settings and flapper hair in Tangent magazine, Tush's shoot is far more costumed. Cordero dances and entertains bringing me right back to that point about Josephine Baker and the twenties fascination with the exotic (helped along now, no doubt, by the timely advent of Prada's banana print skirts), and the expectation that many a fashion shoot will use this side of the era as a way to blend elements of sensuality and nudity with an enigmatic flapper appeal.
